Consulting Civil Engineers - Specializing in Geotechnical Engineering, Soils Laboratory Testing, and Environmental Services

Scope of Services

Field Testing Services

AG&E personnel have provided construction inspection services for PADOT highways and bridges, for airport and runway extensions, and for major industries on construction of major plants.

AG&E owns all necessary equipment for soil/aggregate compaction testing, including nuclear moisture-density gauges and sand cones; dynamic cone penetrometer for foundation subgrade testing; concrete testing equipment; infiltrometer equipment for suburface infiltration testing; and Organic Vapor Analyzer (OVA) for detecting volatiles.

Prior to construction, AG&E also performs site environmental screening and remediation, if required.  Environmental field personnel have current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

The field testing services are supported by an in-house AASHTO-accredited soils laboratory.

Soil Testing:

     -  Sand cone field density
     -  Nuclear moisture/density
     -  Dynamic cone penetrometer

     -  Organic gas concentrations by OVA

Concrete/Masonary Testing:

     -  Aggregate/sand gradations
     -  Concrete/grout temperature
     -  Concrete/grout slump
     -  Concrete air entrainment
     -  Mortar strength
     -  Concrete  masonry units testing
     -  Making/curing test cylinders, cubes, and prisms
     -  Compression strength tests (concrete/mortar)
